| Exciting news!

Penbritte will be adding another instructor to the yard in March this year. We will then be offering weekend lessons as well. We are also going on an advertising campaign to grow the riding school again. Lesson numbers will remain small and the quality of lessons will be of upmost importance. Progress reports are kept on the riders to ensure that we don’t stagnate in our teaching. So if you know of some friends or family that wants to start riding send them our way!
Affiliation
Penbritte use to host affiliated/ graded shows as well. I am in the process to affiliate the yard again so that we can offer combined training and graded classes to the riders in the South. With the new toll gates coming up, travelling to the North has just become more expensive.
This will enable our clients to grow from grass route level to the top here at Penbritte, without having to travel all over. Watch this space J
New facilities
Our horses and we are enjoying the farrier and medical block. It has made a huge difference to Doug to shoe in a shady, level and paved area. Seeing the hoof completely and being in an airy cool spaces is really working out well. The medical block has been AMAZING and we are adding to that this year, with a dedicated area for the Impulse line and Beamer blanket treatments.
Shows
This year is going to be a busy year with some balancing skills required to see us through the year. We will be attending shows with The Tack Fairy and young riders, then Penny Place and Interschools in February and co-hosting a show at the end of February at Aspen Estate, watch the notice board, sms line and the website to keep abreast of what is happening.
P.S I am struggling to keep up and I am the one setting the dates!!!
Our own Penbritte dates are as follows:
21 (Wednesday) March
27 (Friday) April
27 (Sunday) May
19 (Sunday) August
3 (Saturday) November.
These will all be jumping shows. We may be adding some dressage shows, provided I can get the Penbritte dressage riders involved to help with running the shows. I will keep you posted.
Photos.
Riders please scan and email us some photos of you riding or competing at shows, so that we can keep the website active and personal.
African Horse Sickness
Please bring Tabard cream for your horses and the automatic spays for the stable. Let’s keep our horses safe this summer. Lindsay is still lighting coils, so hopefully we can keep the mossies at bay.
Happy riding guys – P.S remember your carrots. |
